Format
Our online format delivers 14 rigorous, engaging courses within a 24-month timeframe. Each technical-core course is designed as eight week-long modules. You take only one technical-core course at a time, allowing you the ability to focus all of your energies on one subject. Fall and Spring semesters involve two technical-core courses each term with a minimum of one-week breaks between each course. The summer semester involves one course. There are generous breaks between the summer and fall semesters and for the winter holiday period. In consideration of the professional obligations of our students, the break between spring modules is designed to accommodate the busiest portion of tax season.
Each technical-core course consists of modules that remain open for your access. Each module will provide online course content, accessible through our custom web interface. Depending upon the course and the instructor's objectives, you may watch Flash-based video, collaborate on group-based team projects, partipcate in threaded discussions groups, and complete online assessment exercises. You will always receive assigned readings, in printed and digital format. Although individual instructors will frequently have invited online guests, all activites are designed for asynchronous participation, meaning that you work on your own schedule and on your own terms.
In addition to technical-core courses, each semester students register for one managerial skill course. These courses cover a variety of fundamental skill topics impacting leadership development as well as career advancement.

Cohorts
We strongly believe that online masters programs work best when students are closely connected to a cohort of their peers. In this program, you progress through the coursework with the same set of fellow students. Although you are separated through the distance-learning format, our program's strong reliance on a cohort-structure can effectively provide the support you need to succeed and to build a network of known and trusted associates. This environment not only allows the development of a strong network of support, but it reinforces the importance of collaboration and teamwork.
Annual Orientation and Concluding Capstone Experience
Each year the program begins with an online fall orientation that allows students to meet one another, the faculty they will encounter that year, and the staff that will assist them throughout the program. The two-year program concludes with a final, foreign-study/immersion experience. Students can fulfill this requirement either through an online MBA course, or participation in an overseas immersion experience. The overseas program requires fees in addition to regular program fees. Details for the program will be provided at a later date.
